At the same time know "there is a time for this and a time for that". We need to develop families who tend to 'the Garden', pull weeds that waste space, that destroy the beauty a Muslim should display. Right now, we do care when we see our faults, our shortcomings, but there will come a time where all we care about it is our ultimate relief from Yaum ul Hisaab. Allah states in Surah Ma'idah 5.4 is Innalllaha Sareea-Al Hisaab, describing how 'Indeed , Allah is swift in taking His creation to account and recompensing them'. Abbasa 34-37 On the day when a man flees from his brother And from his mother and his father, And from his wife and his children. Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. Right now, we can tend to our 'check list'. May Allah Azza Wa jal give us tawfeek to clear our paths'. Wouldn’t it make sense to thus surround yourselves with friends who constantly
